Only 2 weeks left until I get to pick up my A6 from the impound, more...
Damn VA State Troopers!!, who woulda knew driving 82 in a 55 on a suspended license would get you thrown into jail, and your car automatically impounded for 30days. I was driving back from Bristow, VA at the Mayhem Festival, completely sober (as my friend was trashed), and was trying to get back before the butt-crack of dawn. All told I will have paid $125 bond, $1795!!! impound fee, $100 license reinstatement fee, plus whatever else the judge slaps on top!!! I hate VA and vow to never return there (unless TOOL or Deftones tour there) My birthday is on the 4th guys, anyone want to send me money in the mail?? JK, thankfully I have no urgent vehicle maintenance issues (besides filling up the gas tank at $3.80/gal). But there goes the dp's I wanted, until I save up again.

Oh, and he never said anything about the Euro front plate, haha gotcha sucka!!
Who knew breaking the law would land you in jail????
I mean, seriously.
Where's the injustice? You were driving without a license.
Well to state the obvious, but for a traffic violation short of DWI? VA just wants their $$$$
Their are plenty out there doing worse, DOL is a petty offense, the injustice is $1795!!!
My post meant to state the irony of driving a drunk friend home, plus a warning to others not to drive on a suspended license.
The summons is in the mail.
Sorry to hear that...how'd you get home? And why did you lose the license in the first place?
My girl came to sign my bond, and drove me home, DL was suspended from 2005, more..
I had a VA reckless driving (86/65) in 2005, paid court fees, with 6 month suspension, I then deployed, came back to MD, and never even thought about my DL being suspended in VA, it was 3years ago, and alot of sh*t has happened since then, besides I hardly travel into VA unless for a concert or to a military post.
I can't be sure, but if my license was suspended, and I somehow thought about driving anyway
I'd stick to every traffic law I could think of to avoid being stopped.
Doing 82 in a 55 zone is an open invitation to get stopped. I wouldn't do that even with a valid and clean license. |
