My outside air temperature changes from -25 to +58 in a matter of a couple of minutes. I assume the wire to the sending unit is either dislodged or the sensor is broken. Anyone know where that sending unit is located on the 2001 A6 2.7T? The problem is that when the temperature drops to minus xx, the windows immediately fog up unless I take the fan off auto and drop the fan speed down to one or two bars. Getting to be a real PITA...

Should be below the front bumper, behind the lower grille somewhere, In front of the radiator

Thanks Clancy... I found a loose wire that use to be connected to the temp sending unit and is now missing. Probably got hung up on a curb when reversing. Now I have to replace the unit. Thanks again for the help...
