Actually I do.
Yes ,I had it installed. If you have a 2002 or earlier it's a lot easier because the cars are pre-wired for the changer in the back. Making self installs a snap.
2003's aren't pre-wired for a changer and the back so you have to spend $100 for a cable and then have it installed (The cable has to be run from the head unit I think.)
Overall I'm quite impressed with it. What you will find is that no ID3 tag will show in the head unit (The VW/Audi head units don't understand CD text).
It is sensitive to encoding rates in terms of top and low end. I've been going 90% VBR 20Khz bandwidth in MusicMatch 8.1.
The biggest trick with it is playlist management. Everything is voice based. You setup virtual CD's which represent play lists of your liking. It generates 3 other playlists based on genre, artist, album. Though the album listing is goofy.
If you want to pack a wide selection of tunes in your car without carrying a large selection of CD's with you this is one way of doing it.

I haven't listened to the radio or CDs since I installed it.
It was a great addition, and as Randy said, if your car is prewired, it is the easiest self install possible.
I have a couple thousand songs loaded and it couldn't be easier to manage from my multifunction steering wheel.
Truly an amazing system.

How exactly do you manage it?
I've seen lots of people post about this system and how it talks to you but no one has ever said how you actually select between playlists, artists, albums or songs. Also, does it have any additional play modes beyond normal playback and random? Seems like a great system if you want an integrated solution.

You use the CD+- and Track +- buttons to navigate
Playlists, artists, albums, and genre selection modes. Voice prompts guide the way, with dynamically created names for the tags on your files.
Once in one of the modes, you can select the item of your choice, or let it make random selections within that mode.
It's kind of difficult to describe, but the Phatnoise web site does a decent job with a demo. Still, you need to experience it for awhile to understand the power of the SSA voice interface.
It really makes it easy to navigate a large selection of music right from the four buttons on your head unit and/or the multifunction steering wheel.
This is by far the best mod I've made to my A6.

Thanks! I'll give their website a look too
I have a portable mp3 player wired into my TT but it is just too cumbersome to navigate thru playlists/albums while driving. For long road trips where you just throw it onto one long random playlist it's ok but for weekly commuting it just doesn't cut it. Sounds like the phatbox has got the navigation part of it figured out tho.
