Tomorrow I plan on adjusting the pinion pre-load on my steering rack. After reading through many threads I was hoping it may give me a better steering experience. At times it feels really easy to turn. I want to make sure its not out of adjustment from wear (215,000 miles). Cars on jackstands, steering unlocked, but how easy is the access to the 18mm adjustment nut? Is it readily visible from under the car? Has anyone encountered this before?
