does anyone know where the wiring is prone to fail or how to get the dash out of the way enough to inspect it?

Default A6 ac

  • No , I jumped the pump solenoid relay and make sure the fan is turned up so it doesn’t freeze up.but I think it has something to do with the fan controller, my fans run all the time.

When my 02 had this issue it was due to no refrigerant in the system. Bought it with a broken timing belt so I could not test A/C. Turns out there was a hole in the condenser. Maybe check that there is R134A in the system, needs a certain pressure before the compressor clutch will activate. Guessing ECON button is on the HVAC control unit?
