Ok so i just bought my a6 & have some questions.Its a 2003 a6 2.7 tiptronic.Prnd1 are lit up & dont change at all but it still shifts & drives fine.I can put it into tip & shift fine.What could it be?.I have a vagcom on its way next week

When you get your VCDS, do a complete scan of all the modules and submit it for our assessment.

Could be as simple as needing a tranny fluid/filter change to needing a new tranny or torque convertor...too little info at this point.

Ok thanks for the quick replys.I did search & everyone elses didnt still shift like mine & the prnd1 was blinking which didnt pertain to me thats why i asked.I will put the codes up as soon as the vagcom gets here.

Could be the magnet from the cover strip. I had this on an a4 it shifted fine but no tiptronic. Check the magnet it should be on that strip that moves with the handle, maybe it fell.

I hope its just that because it shifts just fine.Im still waiting on my vagcom to get here, that is taking forever & day

Ok i just scanned it & i get p1750 low voltage code for the tranny.Itll clear but as soon as i turn it off,& restart the car the prnd1 is lit back up.Whats the next step?

Google "P1750". There are several suggestions as to possible cause.

Yes its been a while & she still runs great but the weird thing is,in the morning the gear selector is fine, if i drive it for a while & turn it off, then start it again all the prndl are all lite up.Buuuut if i turn the ignition off then back on it goes back to normal againl...wtf?.Again even if its lit up it still shifts smoothly & tiptronic always works.But the vagcom say its the convertor
