Rear seat folding - driver side stuck shut, passenger side won't lock
#2
I have a similar problem with the driver's side rear passenger seat not wanting to lock.
Had major bodywork done to the rear quarter which required removal of the rear seat and seat back. When the bodyshop put it back together the seat back will not latch. I too could use some suggestions.

Yup, just use a 17MM deep socket to loosen the jam nut...
the either adjust the threaded post in or out to find the right position for the pin so the seat can latch. The last time I removed the pin (to run wires behind the side bolster of the rear seat) I took a digital photo of the pin so I could see how much thread was showing. Made it much easier to re-install.
Good luck!

One thing you might want to try...
...is to lower the passenger side seat, look at the hingepoint between the two seatbacks, remove the cap by pulling up on the rearward edge of teh cap. It kind of rotates forward. Then remove the Torx bolt (I think it is T-25 so you can remove the metal bracket that secures the seatback hinges. Try to remove the passenger side seatback (if you ahve not removed the seat bottom, you cannot remove it from the car but just lift the hinge out of the bracket). Once that seatback hinge it out, you might have enough play in the driver's side seatback to enable you to unlatch it.
Once you get that driver side seatback loose, adjust the locking pin by backing out the 17MM nut (use a deep socket), and either thread is out or in to adjust the pin until you can easily latch and unlatch the seatback. Replace the passenger side hinge in the bracket, and adjust that pin as well until you can latch and unlatch that side.
Once you've confirmed that both halves are operating just fine, replace the hinge plate and Torx bolt and hinge cap and you are done.
Hope this works for you!
