Questions on 2.7T.......
If you put DV's in a Automatic transmision A6...is the noise just like with the manual or is it slightly different.
My brother has a GTI 20th ed. with all the good stuff and DV's and it sounds great.
Just wondering if the sound is the same on Auto. 2.7T's.
I'm still in the search of a 2.7T with sport package

What is a DV? Are you refering to diverter valves?
I have Forge diverter valves and I didn't notice any difference in sound compared to the stock diveter valves, actually I didn't notice any difference at all.

there is a large difference in intake plumbing between the GTI and your A6
the soudn you hear is mainly the noise of the dv dumping air back into the system after the MAF. less restrictive cold air intakes let more of this noise out of the intake system, but the intake system on the 2.7t engine is fairly closed off and shielded comparatively.

you are talking about BLOW OFF VALVES...
These are the 'kid' valves that make the woosh. They also send out engine codes and don't help your car run the way it should. The system depends on the DV...diverted air to stay in the system. The BLOW OFF vents it to the atmosphere for the sound, so your ECU and sensors think something is wrong as the air..is not there.

Does your air conditioning "hiss" immediately after shutdown? Noise comes from passenger side cowl..
