has anyone had this problem? it's weird because they roll up and down if i use the switches frmo the drivers window control switches but using the switches in both of the rear doors wont work i cant figure out what it is ?? is it that both switches are bad? any help appreciated !

Sounds like window guides. Search the fourm. Easy DIY. 250/door @ dealer.

but the drivers main window switch panel. Mine did the same thing. Its the window lock button that goes bad and causes the rear switches not to work. If you press and hold it down the rear switches work. Try it and see! I found a brand new switch on ebay for $39 a few months ago. I'd look there first. I don't have the part number available but if you find it try 1stvwparts.com they have pretty good prices too! Cheers.

I've got the same prob. If you hold the master switch window lock, the rears work.
