'02 with 40k - nothing much but brake pads and routine fluids
It did have a couple replacements of the stereo head unit in its early warranty days from the infamous red death syndrome, but I would figure all those units are weeded out at this point.

Oh, jeez! I totally forgot that I am on my 3rd cluster.
I had it replaced under warranty, and then they put in another one that was also faded. (Well, that was after they put in an A6 cluster) So I went back to Beverly Hills (from San Diego) because they told me, "Come on up." I took that to mean that they had my new cluster, and I could bring it up to be installed. Well, they actually wanted to verify that I actully had fading lines, so I had to make ANOTHER trip up there to get it installed. Total of 4 trips for 2 cluster installs. All that, just to have someone S6-smart work on my car.

Re: S6 guys -> how many miles you got and what major repairs have you had?
02 S6, 75K miles. Only issues have been the yaw sensor for the ESP system, and evaporator purge valve, both 5 minute jobs.
Normal brakes and oil changes. I know I shouldn't say this, but this has easily been the most reliable Audi I've had. Alex Chernushin |
I should STFA, but what benefits does the MTM chip give your S6?
|
03' 3.0L w40k. pads/rotors/tires. AC filled about 12-18 months ago, not working again.
|
Never heard of a 3.0 S6 :P
