So I got the full length Victory by Design featuring Alfa for my birthday

Oh man, it's about as close as you can get to sitting alongside Alain De Cadenet. I've seen many of these cars at various shows over the years, and have seen some of them at the Hisorics or CSRG, but this was 100% pure without distractions. By the end I was like Toad in Wind in the Willows, and had to go for a drive in my own Alfa. It was downright quiet and tame after watching all those rorty old race track chargers!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr, brrrrrrrrrrrrrr, vroom! vroom! (downshift) Grrrrrrrrrrrrr, brrrrrrrrrrrrrr............

The Speed channel once had a Silver Arrows special with a lot of factory footage of the Mercedes team. By coincidence, a lot of Auto Unions made it into the scenes ;-)

That was from a friend. The Honey bought me a factory balanced driveshaft and balanced the clutch
 

for vibration free driving! Since the driveshaft spins at engine rpms, vibration can become an issue when somebody decides to standardize all the fittings, not realizing they are different so as to balance out any vibration :-P Wheels are part of the deal yet. but I haven't found what I want yet.

..that YOUR reality is in a different universe from mine! ;-)

My wife is still trying to figure out how she ended up with someone who would actually attend 2 (!!) track events in less than 12 months. She's a wonderful lady, but has NO appreciation for my car-nuttery. Mind you, she likes to drive a nice car, but would never be mistaken for an "enthusiast".

I'll surely pay later for my weekend at Grattan raceway in 2 weeks.

I rarely if ever get any protest when I want to do something to my car. Same goes for him of course.
