Default solar sunroof

My Audi S6 Solar sunroof has stopped working in the last two weeks when the car is hot in the sun. Is their a sensor or what activates the operation. The rest of the sunroof functions work properly.

I just ordered the service manual to troubleshoot mine. I will let you know what I find. Please send me a message to remind me if you see nothing here in the next week.

Check sleprs6 post about his. Check the two contacts at the front of the sunroof opening. Make sure they are free. They are spring loaded. He posted pictures on page #2 of his thread.

Yes, check contacts. You can also voltage check. Control board/voltage converter is mounted to underside of roof itself. Mine burned out at some point--no voltage at terminals. I bought a junkyard roof complete w/ control board and function restored.

Not a good option in retrospect. I found on C5 and subsequently with many D3 owners they tend to eat the HVAC blower fan if they have a solar roof. Option also seems to have gone away, on D4's at least.
