Default Sport springs

Can anyone tell me what the difference would be between installing sport springs as opposed to coilovers. Both will lower the ride, but what about handling and ride quality?

You have to compare spring/shock combo to coilovers, not just springs

So how would a sport spring/shock combo compare with coilovers? There's a pretty big difference in price!

Default Actualy - not as much as you think

springs - $300
Shocks - $500
Install - $500

Total - $1300

Coilovers

Colovers - $1400
Install - $200

Total - $1600

Remmeber - you don't need to disssmble anything to get the coilovers in, they just bolt in

So how much "better" would a coilover set-up handle vs a good shock/spring set-up?

Default Not much I think. the benifits would be that it is adjustable for height

and that the springs/shocks would be better matched

The dude from Autoscope said coilovers were more work, more $$ to install.

Default I personally think significantly better...

I tested several different setups on my Mercedes race car and found that there was really no comparison when it came to serious track use. For daily driving I think most people are satisfied (and rightfully so)with a good shock and spring combo.
