Taking off the headlight washer cap?

Is there a way to take off the headlight washer cap to clean the area underneath it? Thanks for any help.

I think you can pull them right up. (spring action) Not sure though.

The one's on my 2001 2.7 were a trick (more)

When I went to get my clear bra installed, they needed to pop them off to cover the bumper under the caps. Problem was not getting them off, but putting them back on. Apparently the apparatus that actually pops up can no longer just be pulled up. I had to activate the washers so the installer could grab 'em. I'm not sure pre 2001's are like this...seemed this was the first time this guy had a problem and they do all the Audi's for a dealer in town. Think mine was the first 2001 he'd done. In any case, if you do have to do this make sure whoever is ready to grab it as it pops up is looking away. The washer fluid may contain alcohol and burn the eyes...poor installer :(

I lost a cap a couple months ago. The only way is to reactivate/grab/hold/replace while getting wet.

They pulled up on our '00 2.7 T.

Someone on here not long ago mentioned a tie rap (wire tie) fix to keep them on and I believe may have mentioned how to pull them up. I pulled them up and placed a piece of wood under a lip on the unit. The cap itself was easily removed by slightly (and carefully) spreading the tangs that snap over the washer assembly. You might look back through here for that thread. Good luck.

I was able to pull it up and replace w/o turning on the squirters...

...but then again mine stopped working recently too...hmmm.
