Tiptronic magnets
This Solution was exactly what helped me. Actually before I had read this I already found the magnet that activates the + and - sensors on the tiptronic. I glued it back into place with some superglue. After that. I put it all back together expecting it should work. No, still no joy.
After reading this it mentions that the magnet has to go in the right way because of the polarity. SO I removed the magnet and re-glued it with the opposite face. Put it back together and now it works a dream.

Does anyone have a picture of the tip tronic magnet mount? Is it supposed to be a magnet mounted on the chrome sleeve of the shift lever? The only magnet that I see on this assembly is the one on the rubber mat for the PRND hall effect sensor pickups.

Hi guys. We have a 2009 1.4T which won't change gears in tiptronic/sports mode. Car drives fine in normal operation but as soon as you push lever over to engage manual switching it won't get out of first gear. Would this also be a magnet problem?
