Tire Pressure Gauge BT: Any recommendations?

Not a high buck item, but I'd like to get a good one. I've been using one of these for five yrs and it's dying out. Any suggestions for a replacement?

The cheap digital $6 one from Walgreens has worked well for me, for the last 4 years.
|
Are you wanting to keep it in the car, or is it for track use?
|
I've retired from track events, so it's just for everyday use.
I do prefer digital over analog.

Check out Griots, they have a couple.

Interesting story of an unofficial tire gauge test.....
...at a recent ACNA driver's event, I was checking my tire pressures using my (I thought) trusty Brookstone analog gauge:
A buddy has his even-fancier gauge at the ready, so we compared - his read 9 PSI (!!!!) lower than mine! His was similar to this: This made me wonder, so I borrowed gauges from 3 more drivers, and all of them gave different numbers. While hardly a representative sample, I thought it best to take the AVERAGE of all those readings as closest to reality, and one like this one (Accutire) read right at that average: So, I dug out the same one that I got at the quattro challenge a coupla years ago (but had put away, thinking it was inferior to my analog gauge), and now use that. YMMV, of course. |
FWIW
A friend once told me truck stops and tire dealers have equipment to check the accuracy of your tire pressure gauge. I didn't remember to ask the tire dealer to check my gauge when I was last in for new tires...
