hey all, now that we have been graced with over 4 feet of snow since Jan 1 here in the WV highlands, and after being body-hung in a drift, I guess is a good time to ask about tow hooks!

I noticed behind the little removable grill peice over the passenger side fog light, there was a large threaded socket that looks like its attached to the chassis possibly. Does anyone know about this? is there a large eye-hook bolt or something that is supposed to be screwed into that for towing possibly? Maybe such a hook is hidden somewhere in the car that I am supposed to be able to use? Im guessing the socket is for towing because there seems to be nothing in the front of the car what-so-ever for pulling the car!!!

You're right. That is where the hook is suppose to go. Look in your toolbox that came with the car. The hook should be there with the car jack and other tools. I have the C5 Avant and the tool box is located above the CD player in the left compartment of the cargo area.
