Tow options?
can someone please post an example of their tow setup on sedan? I want to buy a bass boat this summer and of course I would like to avoid having to buy another vehicle to tow it around. I'm concerned about it being obtrusive and ruining the look of the rear.
I'm hoping I can mount it so that the rear valence can be removed and replaced to conceal the towbar when the hook is removed. This doesn't sound promising though.

Bass boats should be towed by pickups. Preferably matching paint jobs.
What..you want the other rednecks to key your audi?
Might as well tow it with a ferrari.

I was looking at this one when I was going to put one on for my small bass boat.

It might not be too good if the boats heavy. I know there is another one that bolts in different/stronger but I can't remember who makes it.

My 525 has a class 1 that goes completely under the bumper.
How heavy is the boat with trailer? Class 1 = 2000 lbs.
Didn't have to cut the bumper at all.<ul><li><a href="http://www.thehitchstore.com/class-i-receiver-hitch-p-117.html">http://www.thehitchstore.com/class-i-receiver-hitch-p-117.html</a</li></ul>

Remember the rating for the car. Boat weights are usually dry. No fuel.
Also I've only towed two stand up jetskis and the car was affected pretty significantly.

Custom RV shop...
might be willing to do this for you.
A class I hitch won't be enough--you've got a 3000# rig there, so a class II hitch at minimum.
Biggest challenge is that most recent Audis don't have tow-ratings in the US--only allroads and Q7s. Most shops won't touch the job if there's no factory tow-rating, so you'll have to do some hunting. Or argue that the same car has a sufficient rating in other parts of the world...for example, the A6 2.7t quattro in the UK is rated to tow up to 2100 kg (over 4500#)
However, IMO, with that weight behind an A6, make sure the trailer has brakes and keep an eye on your car's brakes.
