Transmission fluid flow
I have an 2000 a6 4.2 AWD. I bought the car like 4 years ago. I got the car disassembled from the start. I had the transmission rebuilt at that time, by a shop in Fort Worth. I took it to the guy I plastic totes. I spent $2,800 on the rebuild. Plus a new timing belt, cam seals, water pump and a few other things. Well the car has been back together for almost 4 years now. I decided I want to get it going. Well after dealing with some engine issues I finally thought I was ready to put tag on it. Well my transmission had a leak. I'm thinking front seal. So I pull the engine and transmission out and replace the seal. Fill the transmission with fluid and test drive. It's leaking again. Out with the engine and transmission again. I took it to the shop that rebuilt it. Freeze plugs was missing on the bottom of the pump. Finally I can get my car going....! Back in the car again. Now It isn't pumping trans fluid through the transmission lines at all. I thought I damaged the new pump. Out it comes again 😡. To a local shop to pull the pump. Pump is fine and $200 later. Back In the car it goes. Going through the process of filling with fluid. A little over 2L it's coming out the fill hole. Start the car and continue to fill. About half a letter and it's coming out again. So I pulled it back out yesterday. I was told it it could be the pressure control valve in the pump. It was free and move like it was supposed to in my little test I was told to do by the eriksson.indust@snet.net tech over the phone.. Pryor to me removing the pump.. can anyone help me out with this transmission?
I really don't want to give up on it. Not only do I have a few thousand dollars in it but a lot of time. The only code I got was from a improper gear ratio. Please help and thanks In advance for it.
