Default uh oh.. time for a dilemma...need some advice...(longish and may solicit STFU comments)

I posted this on the A8 forum, as I was asking around for prices on a S8, but I've spent most of my time on the A6 forum and gotten acquianted with a few of you so I would like your opinions as well... here goes nothing:

I was asking about prices for a S8 because....the recent break up w/ a long time gf really got me thinking that i need to treat myself to something nice... here's a short recap..i joined audiworld 3 months ago after purchasing my 00 2.7T...my gf at the time had been bugging for a long time to replace my honda civic. So I finally caved... also at the same time I was going to purchase a condo (for us...and was going to propose), I went for a used car with AWD to satisfy my skiing needs and didn't want to blow my finances. Audi was the best overall choice...(i used to hate audis)...but i ended up falling in love...and fell in love hard. I was only planning on driving the 2.7T for a year and replacing it with a newer car, but why wait now. Although a 996 Porsche C4S is my dream car and I would love to pick one up, having read about the S8 and doing some research...not to mention the RS6...my mind is starting to wander. Also with a recent unexpected promotion, I can go for the condo and if need be....upgrade my car. I don't know if this is a smart move, but I've always been a firm believer in following my heart. And my heart says that I want a S8(the price of the RS6 is still killin me)...the porsche will have to wait for later....besides I'm starting to like having 4 doors and room to haul passengers. Should I make this jump? Should I wait? I'm torn. Sorry i had to get sappy...ugh..

Default reason i said that was cause S4 seems to be SO much more upgradeable...

from what i've seen you seem pretty young. When you start a family you'll get your chance to own a "big" car like the S8. For now you can have fun and chill out with mods and speed. There must be some justification for the discreptancy in the average driver of the A8/S8 vs. A4/S4. Maybe i am wrong...not sure. The S8 is a pretty hot car...but the 2.7T/S4/RS6 would do circles around you =).

Default the s8 is a great car, but won't help with the .....

chick vacancy

sounds like you need to find some new female companionship

there are only so many things you can do with an audi.

however in an audi the options are limitless.

cheers
