Water pump cracked at 45k - should I replace timing belt too?
|
YES!
The timing belt, the serpentine belt, the t-belt tensioner and roller, and the thermostat.
Expect the total to be near $1000 when all is said and done. I had the same thing happen at 56k (or thereabouts). |
Pretty short life for that part.
|
Absolutely
|
You betcha. Added cost to do everything is peanuts.

timing belt and water pump should always be replaced together |
Yep, and thermostat.

Parts are cheap, the labor is what will kill you. You from HI? Fly me there and labor will be free=)
