Water pump cracked at 45k - should I replace timing belt too?

saabSean 12-02-2003 04:32 PM

YES!

The timing belt, the serpentine belt, the t-belt tensioner and roller, and the thermostat.

Expect the total to be near $1000 when all is said and done. I had the same thing happen at 56k (or thereabouts).

Pretty short life for that part.

Absolutely

DWP 12-02-2003 06:46 PM

You betcha. Added cost to do everything is peanuts.
