WAY OT...I can't believe it - California's moron majority actually elected Schwarzegroper.

I just don't get what the voters were thinking. It just goes to show how shallow so many can be. The guy couldn't govern his own ass out of a paper bag, he thinks it's perfectly OK to grab women, and we go and elect him governor. It makes me want to pack up and move back to Wisconsin. I'm pissed.

Finman 10-07-2003 10:30 PM

What's wrong with grabbing women???

California is probably the most fugged up state there is...ok, excluding the "south" ;) Horrible personal and business taxes, horrible schools, horrible traffic, horrible Medical burden, horrible housing prices (unless you bought low and sold high ;), horrible weather...oops, I mean pretty damn good weather, horrible baseball and football fans (esp. the Bay area), horrible laws that restrict personal and business freedoms...well, I like the anti-smoking laws ;), horrible gas prices, horrible 91 octane, horrible fast-food restaurants...oops, In-N-Out Burger and even Chipotle are pretty good ;), horrible personal cleanliness, horrible tooth decay, horrible Hagar, horrible family murderers in Stockton, horrible Senators, horrible governors, horrible energy system, horrible hemorrhoids, and of course, horrible earthquakes...oh yeah, the people are morons also...not just for the entire recall debacle, but for electing d(ckbag Gray Davis in the first place!!! ;)

mpuzach 10-07-2003 10:45 PM

Funny thing is, I'm not too bent out of shape over the ousting of Davis...

...though he's probably paying the piper for some things that were beyond his direct control. But Arnold Schwarzenegger? Is he really the best we could get? Other than being able to kick ass in the movies, I can't think of a single qualification this guy has to solve CA's problems. (OK, being able to kick ass in the movies isn't going to help him balance the budget, either.)

The way I see it, he got elected on image and nothing else. It's embarrassing to live in a state of such incredibly shallow thinking.

Finman 10-07-2003 11:01 PM

Don't be embarrassed for others actions...

it's actually funny...I'm enjoying it... ;)

itacud 10-07-2003 11:46 PM

We can recall him in 11 months too, right?

Does the same apply to the president?

2.7tDallas 10-08-2003 03:43 AM

typical neo-lib answer...the electorate is stupid, unless they vote dem

I'm sure you would feel the same if any republican was elected.

perhaps if the "moron" votors would stop electing socialists in all parts of the goverment, your state would be in better whape

TheBrit 10-08-2003 04:21 AM

Totally.

Bad-a-bum! Thank you, you've been a great audience...

Potomac-Greg 10-08-2003 05:32 AM

Typical ditto-head reaction -- candidate is worthy as long as he's Republican.

I think the last 10 years has ushered the death of principle. All decisions and beliefs are now based on allegiance, not principle.

Forget party affiliation and just look at Arnold as a candidate. No experience, not intellectually impressive. Ronald Reagan was, at the time of his election as Calif. Governor, a knowledgeable politician who was extremely articulate and a true inspirational person. Arnold is none of these things. It's a shame that he ended up the leading R candidate. We are in the Cartoon Era of Government.

The stuff about Arnold's past is irrelevant to his ability to run a state. It's not like he had a BJ from an intern while governor.

spanky 10-08-2003 06:09 AM

Get used to it, and really,

YOU'RE IN CALIFORNIA, DUDE.......is there REALLY any surprise here?

Not a ditto head, and I am just pointing out the typical reaction

whenever dems lose an election.

And the lack of talent in the Repubilcans in California is a direct result of a rejection of thier philosphies by the California voters.

Why would anyone who was talented want to be a republican in CA?
