What does the EPC indicator light mean.. besides loss of power... mine is lit.. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I assume you mean the check engine light?
Either something is seriously wrong with your engine. This could cause a noticable deterioriation of performance or could be something which will damage your car more the longer you drive it.
Alternately it could mean that something has gone wrong with your car that is causing it to emit more emissions that it did when new. This is by far the most common case. This includes a loose gas cap, since unburned hydrocarbons escape.
Note that ify ou have a problem which causes your car to damage more as you drive it, then the check engine light will usually flash, not just light.
