What's best cleaning solution to use on interior "A" pillar smudge??

I'm not sure, but I'd like to know also. I have seat belt marks and stuff on there. Also a scratch
on the back of my chair.

I just did exactly this over the weekend! You're psychic!!! ...
I used a Scotch Gard brand aerosol carpet cleaner. It worked fine.
A couple of tricks, though... Spray whatever you use on a sponge and then "dab" it lightly on smudges. Don't try and spray on the pillar directly. Light "massage" versus vigorous rubbing is key because rubbing can abrade the surface VERY easily. Seen it done. Most such cleaning products say "wait and blot with cold water." Again, lightly. At first I worried these smudges (by an Audi mechanic, accidentally) were permanent, but they did come off. I also worried my Melange trimmings would never be the same. Not so. Scotchgard product I used is the one with the purple cap shown in photo at their website (link below).

http://cms.3m.com/cms/US/en/2-78/icFurFS/view.jhtml</a

|
