wheel/ tire issue...HELP 225/45/18's rubbing
 

is anyone out there running 225/45's on 18" rims. I just bought a set of winter tires on s line replicas. I got a great deal, but now I hear some rubbing as my suspension absorbs bumps. The previous owner supposedly had this same set up on a 01 a6 sedan. I have a 03 a6 avant. Did I get screwed on this deal? This set up looks amazing and I hope I can use these. any ideas? wheel spacers?

Tires and/or wheels are the wrong size for your car. Have you checked the Miata tire calculator to see how circumference stacks up against stock? Have you checked the offset and wheel width (together) against stock?

Sell those wheels and buy the lightest, strongest 17 x 8 wheels you can find.
