Basements aren't too common here in NorCal.

lol...That sucks. Lucky you don't have tornadoes out there (although you do have earthquakes lol)

I'll take a periodic 6.0 on the Richter over a tornado (or a hurricane) any day.
 

I just wish real estate wasn't so %*^@ expensive.

Not having a basement must be rough...especially for you rich Cali...
 

guys...need to store all the stuff you buy somewhere!..lol (my brother lives in L.A., so I guess I can't make fun of ya to much ;)The last tornado we had around here was several years ago, and it did only minor damage. There was one back in the 60's that killed some people though. As for earthquakes, well.. I think the last one anywhere near here happened in S.Illinois/Northern Missouri...over 100 years ago if I remember correctly. Sounds like we have you beat! lol :)

Wait a minute, you put hardwood floor in the Audi? :-p

Last earthquake that did any real damage here was well publicized...
 

1989, opening day of the World Series, with the teams already on the Field at Candlestick Park in SF. My wife was driving her car...said she thought she had all 4 tires go flat at once.

Think that's the last time the Giants had a good team, too.
