Will the Tip last 150k miles?
I drive my 2.8 A6 , 25k miles a year (all highway) and the mileage is upto 53k miles. Wonder if I can drive it a few more years before the transmission gives out? I am pretty gentle with the car and most of my driving is highway. I asked my dealer about the failure rate of the tiptronic transmission on the A6 but he wouldn't give me a straight answer. I am happy with my car but I am wondering when I should replace it with an A6 Avant.

sure, if its serviced and
2.8 engine does not have wheel spinning power so you should be fine based on the info you have provided.
I presume no supercharger or NOS. :-) |
what service?

Re: Will the Tip last 150k miles?
My Audi regional rep said the tip is good for 100K, although ours is bad at 75K. The part runs $6200....

My B5 A4 has 110,000 miles and the tranny is going strong (knock on wood)
