Will these wheels will fit a 2000 A6 2.7T
Hi ,
Just wondering if you guys could help me with some wheels i am looking at. I have a 2000 A6 2.7T and the wheels i am looking at are:
5 112 fitment with 35mm offset
Front are 8.5 and rears are 9.5 inches wide.
They are AMG replicas, not sure of the brand. My car is standard but i may lower it a bit in the future, any ideas if these would fit?
thanks.

well, for starters you forgot to tell us what diameter. 13"? Wont fit.
They are staggered, which is a bad idea on a nose-heavy AWD car. You actually want wider wheels in FRONT ( no i dont expect you to do that).
3rd, while the bolt pattern and offset are perfect, you never know until you see the inside curve of the wheel spokes. They are the interference point with the large calipers on your car.
Staggered may look good to some, but its wrong from a handling perspective ( and those in the know will chuckle at you as if you had sno tires on the rear of a fwd car)

hi and thanks,
yeah, cant believe i forgot the wheel size, doh!!!
they are 19 in, and you are right about them being staggered, thats one thing that bothers me too. im going to view them and take the car and try a test fit. the reason i asked was because its a 3 hour drive to get them and i didnt want to go if they had no chance of fitting. thanks again for your reply though.

Had to add 5mm spacers and longer lug bolts. But the hub size was larger, so they would not bolt on and stay centered....shook like crazy at 65mph. Took off the spacers and ground just a little off the front calipers to clear the wheels. Still a lot of shaking. Ordered hub rings, which took up the slack in the hub and now all is fine, but what a PITA. Never again.

the stagger issue is not about the fit, it will make the already questionable handling ( front end plow/understeer) even worse. Staggered rims are intended for cars that have the power applied exclusively through the rear wheels, and typically are light in the front end. e.g.: muscle cars (and they plow beyond belief) and mid engine cars (which often have 43-46% of the weight in the front). Your car has between 55-60% of the weight IN FRONT OF the front wheels. Audi has worked miracles to make it handle as well, or poorly, as it does. Why go out of your way to make it worse?

how flat/good are roads in your area? Unless you say "excellent and beautifully maintained" i would tick to 17" - either 255/40- or 245/45- (my pref) all around. Protects rim; better ride and lighter.
