Woo Woo. It's great to own the "old" 4.2!
Just for the fender flair alone.
The new A6 is a somewhat solid progression but here are my personal dislikes.
I do not like the fish mouth grille on anything except the Nuvolari and for the reason being I liked the Nuvolari headlights. The new A6 headlights are too small for such a large grille. I do not like the new hood. I do not like this car from a side angle or the door pannels one bit. I am OK with the mini mix of the old A4 and new A8 rear end, but I much preffer the sweeping integrated tail lights of the "old" A6 much, much more. The interior is not a step in the right direction. The dash is weird and I do not like the steering wheel.
Looks like I'll start saving for a pre owned RS 6 or the new S4 once the bugs are worked out.
On a scale of 1-10. I give the new A6 a, 7.

I'm quite underwhelmed by the new car. Yay! Now I won't feel left behind with the old model. Yay!
I'm not particularly offended by the exterior in any way, though I'm not particularly moved by it either.
I am "offended" by the interior...I much prefer the C5.

Yep, "old" 4.2 is a much cleaner design. Will be a classic.
Apparently there will be no more Bauhaus minimalist designs from Audi. Too bad. Audi seems to be losing its way just like BMW did. Too much "styling." And I'm sick of all this retro crap like the Auto Union style grille.
