Default 06 A6 3.2 ltr Cam Follower have a break in period ?

I have an '06 A6 3.2 liter, I just replaced the HPFP and cam follower. Does the follower have a break in period kinda like a new camshaft ?
The reason I asked this, is that before replacing both the HPFP and cam follower, I had no clicking noises. About 15-20 seconds after starting up at an idle, the car starts clicking kinda loudly but when you cut it off and restart it will repeat the same.
Kinda stuck here ????
Any advice is greatly appreciated

Well at the very least that's nothing to do with break-in, that doesn't undo itself with each restart. Technically there will be a bit of a break-in period, but in practice you don't need to worry about that too much. As far as I know those pumps are noisy buggers on a good day.

Thanks for the info. I actually ran the car under normal driving conditions for about 20 miles with no clicking. I figured if it had a break in period that would suffice. After the drive, I let the car idle for about 5 mins with no more loud clicking. So far, all is well with zero issues.
