Hi everyone,

I have an 2004 Audi A6 2.7t. For the last week, when I am trying to start my engine from cold, it tries to start, initially it doesn't start, then it revs up to ~300 rpm and then chokes. Around 3-5 minutes I can get the engine to start but it doesn't idle around ~1200 rpm, it directly starts at ~700 rpm. I haven't still changed the coolant sensor I am going to do it this weekend but if anyone encountered something like this before I will be glad to have some suggestions.

I'm having a similar issue with my 2001 2.7t (auto). Eventually after 8-10 tries it will start. It's fine when it's warm, but after work or in the morning it will cause me issues.
They did replace the air-mass flow sensor. Things worked well for a few months, but issue is happening again.
Did you ever get it fixed?

this is the C6 A6 platform covering cars from 2005-2011. you guys need the C5 forum for members with more knowledge on your cars.

I have exactly same problem right now. Sometimes when I tried to jump in my car it won't start it's trying but take awhile and when it starts my car stinks like gasoline though not sure about those number ur talking but was wondering if how did u get it fix if u did? Thanks!

Not to be a nooog, you folks might find it informative to Google that code in addition to posting and asking for assistance on it.

While you are in the wrong forum section, the code exists pretty universally and I looked it up for another person who posted about it the other day. I believe if memory serves me properly it has to do with an evap leak or issue. Which would explain the starting problem you are having.

At that time, we have changed the engine temperature sensor if I remember correctly, also the clutch input sensor soon after. Since the engine temperature sensor did not register the engine temperature, it did not idle at the correct rpm. With the sensor the problem was fixed.
