And yes I did search, saw many VERY loud motor that were clearly tensioner chain guide issues..... I may purchase this car...I hear a slight rattle at in the 1st second or two of start up......my question is would this be an indicator of an issue or normal after the car sat for a few days ?

I had a 2005 4.2 for over 140k miles, and the tensioners went bad after 130k miles. Based on my experience, it sounds like the tensioners are going bad. I would avoid it.
