2006 A6 Avant > What to lookout for
I am looking at 2006 Ag Avant 3.2 w/ 111k miles. Excellent shape inside and out and has a minor vacuum pump and valve cover gasket leak. Other than that it checked out well with a reputable mechanic.
Wife and i are looking at this as a utility vehicle and will drive it less than 5k a year. What are something to look for in these vehicles that are faulty?
Thank in advance!

The rear timing chain covers. They leak worse than a Singapore *****, and very costly to repair. Also the timing chain guides can cause huge issues when they fail
Make sure you get a FULL independent inspection from an Audi dealership. It will save your life.
I just bought an 07 from a local non audi dealership, they forked out 7K to rebuild my engine and no cost to me, so I am very happy with my new wagon

Wow I just bought one with 127K miles and absolutely no inspection. It was a good deal so far and I love the car. I will get it checked out soon. A 2006 3.2 has a timing belt that has to be changed when please?
