Wondered if this is normal. My A6 seems to have a bit of a delay between me pushing the GO pedal and it moving out. It seems to have plenty of power, And in S mode is a little more responsive, But I mainly notice it from a light or stop sign.

I've got 87,000 miles on it.

Have you been using the recommend gasoline in it?

I'd also scan for any low priority codes that might permit you to pick up on any issues.

Describe to us the maintenance condition of your car. What services have you had done? Who does the maintenance and how often?

Well I bought it a few months back... I drive about 3,000 miles a year (weekends mainly), and have 2 other vehicles.

So I haven't owned it long enough to even do an oil change yet.

I do know it has frequented the local Audi Dealer.

So a car with 87,000 miles might be due for a tune up. Plugs are a good bet for effecting performance. It could even be that they are fouled with oil due to a leak in the valve covers (common at this age too).

Do you know what is the latest major service done and what was done?

Have you cleaned the snow screen? Mine was pretty dirty when I looked at it, after I cleaned it I felt like I had a bit more power.

https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a6-...tures-2895906/ is a nice writeup with pictures by Kelisko.

I should have clarified. The motor runs great. The sluggish is from the time I push the GO pedal until the time the car moves. 1-2 second delay maybe... Not normal? Someone told me this was normal for these Audi's.

(It's probably not 1-2 seconds) but it feels like it. The car feels quick other than the slight delay. It's not like a hesitation on the engine either.

I had this prior to one of my O2 sensors going out. It would hesitate slightly from a stop. Eventually the MIL light came on and it was an O2 sensor code. After the O2 sensor replacement, the hesitation was gone.

I don't feel any hesitation accelerating from a standing stop. If I am approaching a stop sign and don't stop completely, then step on the gas to go, there is a half second pause while the transmission figures out what I want, then it goes. I've heard other people talk about this pause too - but off the line at a standing stop, no hesitation.
