Default 2007 Audi A6 3.2 engine issues (need HELP)

Hi guys. At like 75k miles, I started to get a little over revving right at engine cold start up. It got worse, and then the check engine light came on and stayed on. Took it to my local mechanic, and he saw several codes relating to the intake flap.

1. Intake flap bank one stuck open
2. Intake flap bank one stuck closed
3. Intake flap bank two stuck closed.

He did a bunch of tests, and said that there doesn't seem to be a problem with the intake flap, opening or closing. He wants to order the sensors, for bank one and two, and replace them. Anyone else figure this would fix the issue?

It could very well fix the problem, but for an issue like that I'd take it to your Audi dealer to be looked at/fixed. Trust me, I loathe my local dealer like most people, but I've found they have the resources and knowledge to handle difficult fixes that the majority of indy shops simply lack access to. It hurts to pay their over-inflated prices, but for some issues, it's best to leave it to them. Oil changes and other minor stuff I go to my local four rings indy shop, big stuff I've learned is best done at the Audi dealer.

It probably has broken vaccum tube.
Read this post.
It is always easier to find the related subject if you get fault codes and search them.

Just had my mechanic, at my local indy shop read the entire thread in your link, and he found that the lines going down into the driver side area, where brittle, and cracked from the heat. He replaced the hoses, and re-routed them. Fast, cheap and easy fix to a major PIA issue. Thanks again for your help!
