Default 2008 A6 Rear Coil Springs... Completely Lost

Hello,

My daughters car was making noise from the rear of the car and my indie garage diagnosed that the rear coil springs are shot. The garage let's me bring in the parts but in this instance google is no help. I can't find the set or individual rear springs to fit the car anywhere.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Scott

@wineohs there are a bunch of options to replace your rear shocks/springs. a lot of folks like the Koni FSDs. I've got KWs on my car.

Thanks. The reason I am lost is that the shop told me that only the springs were shot and that was what was needed to be repaired. Can the springs be bought individually. This is my daughters first car, so not looking to add mods, just fix the fix. I have a 2012 A7 for the modding

Springs should NOT be repaired, just replace them. What mileage is on your daughters car? I doubt it's the springs alone, the shock/strut is probably gone and needs to be changed. Hence why you go with FSDs.

Or you can just buy the spring here: https://genuineaudiparts.com/parts/2...iagram=1352625

About 135k miles. It definitely sounds like a spring noise. Wish I could describe it better. He said that both spring in back were cracked and that they sit on a perch???

Thanks for the link. There are a bunch of springs on that page all with different color marks. How do I ensure that 4F0511115BM is the correct one to order and will fit left and right.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

All springs are color coded. Just match the color coding of the springs with the ones you are buying... Simple. The same spring goes on the either side of the vehicle.
