2008 S6 trunk lid remote buttons stopped working
 

My 2008 S6 (USA model) trunk lid will not open via the remote rear release button (driver’s door), master keys nor the external trunk button. I have tried to press each for several seconds without success.

When using these buttons, I do not hear any release/ solenoid sounds. By contrast, all other doors and gas cap door can release normally and I can hear those release.

The only way to open trunk lid now Is by the internal trunk release.

Items reviewed prior to this posting: trunk latch works fine. The valet function is not enabled, MMI settings show the trunk lid is active. This S6 does not have external key lock on the trunk itself.

Is there a specific fuse I should be looking for and where is that location? The manual does not show this/ can’t find online...wondering if this fuse exists?

Problem solved update
 

Took the Audi S6 to Beach House Imports in Costa Mesa CA (Audi independent shop) and they found the cause of the non-functioning lid solenoid: wires leading into the trunk lid wore through at a pinch point.
Resolution a few new wires. Trunk lid remote functions fine now.
