Default 2010 A6 leather seat bunched/creased up already

I have only 458 miles on my new 2010 A6 and already the driver’s seat bottom cushion has a few very noticeable wrinkled/bunched/creased lines. Also, the rear passenger-side seat bottom cushion had several ill-fitting wrinkly areas. I am 6’2” and 198 pounds, not oddly large enough to kill the seat so quickly. I do have a 350 lb. plus friend who beats the crap out of the interiors of his leased BMW’s, but I am not that big.
I had a 2006 A4 with the same leather wrinkling problems that I just lived with and hated – they just kept getting worse. My 2008 A4 that I just traded in for the 2010 A6 had no seat leather issues at all. I don’t understand it – Audi is known for its great interiors and mine looks like a car with 100,000 miles on it driven by a very heavy guy. My neighbor has a 2006 A6 with almost 80,000 miles on it and he said my front seat looks older than his, and mine only has 458 miles on it. What’s up?
The dealer did agree to order a new bottom leather seat cover and cushion for the driver’s seat and a local upholstery shop I know is good will do the install. Now I will be worrying the wood trim gets scratched in the process. Just venting I guess, but when I look at new Acura’s and such with their nice smooth leather seats I am jealous - my seats are not what I find acceptable on a $53,000 car.

funny you mention Acura, the leather seats on my wife's Acura bunched up rather quickly as well.

ON the other hand, the leather on my '06 A6 with 50k+ miles is just now starting to show a single crack...and i'm a much bigger dude than you.

'05 and just broke 60k miles and my seats actually look pretty good. Someone said that the 3.2's have leatherette so maybe that's why?

Leatherette was standard, except for seating surfaces. Full leather was an option.

The full leather in my 05 is holding up well at 72K miles.

Mine has leather on the seating surfaces. It has the new 3.0 supercharged 3.0 engine - hmm lot of good that does sitting in the garage.
BTW - the dealer took me around the other day looking at a bunch of new Audi's to convince me mine wasn't the only bad one. A lot of them had puckered leather. I told him that still didn't make me happy and was not up to par for a $53K car. So much for the old German hide inspector I guess!

Ah, time to check my original sticker I guess to see what I've got.

Ours has the volterra (full leather) and even after 60k of hard use not a single crease or wrinkle. They look tight and brand new.

You can tell if you have the full leather by the stitching around the borders of the seat, if it's double french stitched then it's full leather if it's only like half stitched it's partial leather.
