2013 Audi A6 2.0T Premium Plus - Audi novice warranty and purchase questions
Hello,
I am looking possibly buy a used 2013 Audi A6 2.0T Premium Plus with 46,000 miles. I have never owned the brand before. The Audi dealership's finance dept sent me an email with a brief rundown on what warranty packages they offer. They start at $1600 all the way to about $10,500. I have asked for details, specifically what exactly does $1600 get me and what do the next 4 tiers also get me?
Audis seem to have come back from their iffy/so so reputation so I'm willing to take the plunge. Are there any mechanical issues I might need to be wary of on a 2013 model with this many miles on it?
I'm a VW owner and have bought and owned slightly used and used for many years.
Does anyone know what the AUDI warranties for used cars that are out of warranty provide coverage for? I'd like to be prepared before walking into the Lion's den. Finance guys can lasso you if you're lucky to escape the salesman.
Any and all pointers are greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much in advance!

FSA, welcome aboard! Does the 2013 A6 you are looking at have the CPO coverage? If not, why not?

What I'm told is that Audi has coverage for 4 years or up to 50k (whichever comes first). This means that this car has 4000 miles left before it expires which is why I'm looking to purchase the extra warranty for when the warranty expires.
My thinking is that I can wait (assuming prices don't change) till the 4k is almost up and pull the trigger on the new lease on life warranty so to speak.

The car is eligible for an Audi CPO warranty. It will cost the dealer money they will want to pass on to you but could be a better option than those third party warranties. If they don't want to offer it, I'd be suspicious about the car. Dealers must perform minimum standards of condition before they can include a CPO.
Just an FYI, the 2013 A6 is a C7, not a C6. There is an A6 C7 forum.
