Default 3.2 bank 1 exhaust cam adjuster intermittent failure

I'm getting an intermittent fault from my bank 1 exhaust cam adjuster. VCDS is displaying a "unable to reach retard setpoint (over advanced)" intermittent fault.
It first occurred about a month ago &, then, again about 2weeks ago. Now, it seems to be coming up more frequently.
I'm not noticing any physical symptoms of this fault. I believe it is "instantaneously" intermittent. & then works fine. IDK?
Is there any experience with this failure?
Worst case, I think I'll be replacing an adjuster.
I think on the V8 forum, I read about "stuck" adjusters being freed up by applying a full 12V signal to them.
Right now, I don't seem to have a stuck adjuster, but perhaps a "sticking" one??
Any experience/advice?

I do have to 12V jumper my sticking bank 1 exhaust cam adjuster.
Now, I just have to figure out where & which connections to hit with full voltage. My understanding is that your do it a few times in one polarity & then reverse it a few times. That should clear it up.

Now, I'm clear on which solenoid & where it is. So, I'll probably jumper it on Tuesday, when I'm off, & see what happens....

Jumpering full voltage to the solenoid did the trick!
My solenoid is behaving as it should & my engine is running smoother & more powerfully than it has in a while!
It probably was some "crud" or mesh that was gunking up the solenoid movement.
These engines are very oil quality sensitive. That's why I limit it to 5k mile oil changes with good approved oils. Last time I went to Castrol over Mobil1. Castrol has a broader german spec compliance (for breakdown resistance, I believe).
With 176k miles on this engine, I need all the help that I can get...
