3.2L FSI, How to drain and refill coolant

I drained the coolant during my upper radiator hose replacement. Here is how I proceeded. These graphics may give you an idea.

Thanks Keli, I did make use of your video for the draining. Refilling the system went ok following the sequence I posted above. I looked for, but couldn’t find the special funnel Nurke posted, but after starting the car up with the cap off the reservoir and opening the bleed screw the system bled ok. I cranked the heater controls up to max and replaced the coolant reservoir cap and let the car warm up to 90C on the temp scale.

Okay! I did almost the same for refilling. I did not use the heater though. I just let it warm up then opened the cap. The coolant got sipped in and air got out. I topped it off and started the car again. The second time I topped it off just a little bit. So far so good.

Default Need help replacing coolant drain plug

I removed it fine drained the coolant but I'm trying to put it back in and it won't go back on at all. O ring is still fine, and plug seems to be a weird plug that doesn't match pictures when I Google it, it has weird big spiral notches down entire thing, 2004 audi quattro 3.0L base.
