A6 4.2 auto bucking in 1st
I'm new here! After about an hour of searching, I haven't found anything useful. I bought a mint 2006 A6 v8 about a month ago, and I am having an issue when I punch it off the line where the car bucks all the way through first gear. I thought it might might be traction control or something, but it does it with esp off. Now, I'm not trying to hot rod around or drive like a jerk, but I am worried that this may turn into a bigger issue if not corrected. Here is what I have observed that may be helpful.
I initially thought I had fixed the problem when I replaced the intake boot clamp, was giving me misfires and lean codes from the unmetered air. Cleared codes afterward.
There is a front end clunk that happens over bumps and when you give it some stink off the line
It only bucks in first at WOT and is not as bad if I roll into it
The bucking is a steady rise and drop of rpm, up down up down up down all the way to the second gear shift
Thanks!

My new to me 2008 A6 Sline 3.2 does the same thing at times. Pulsing feeling and tachometer fluctuates. I am hoping to hear more about this on the forum. I have not been able to find much regarding this but not real computer savy.
