Very strange. I assume you are ordering this for your wagon (??). I enter my car ('06 A6 wagon) at their website and it says nothing is avaiable. Are the '06 and '08 wagons different?

I've got a '99, but am looking at an '06-'07 Avant, so I'm very interested in this thread. Like some of you, I've got a lot of Thule hardware.

But I just checked the Thule site, went in from www.Thule.com, and then clicked on the North American site. I could be wrong, but isn't the big picture on the main page an A6 Avant. I also drilled down for a '07 roof and they gave 2 option of the 460.

Yeah, forgot to mention Thule is using the A6 Avant (not a new A4, right?) on the N.A. home page!!! I think there's hope...

I've traded approx 15 emails with the technical support staff in Sweden on this matter over the past 48hrs. I am absolutely mystified why they could not tell me about this kit that's already in the USA !!! It makes no sense. I was on the verge of ordering all new stuff from the UK this afternoon.

I did a reverse look up on the part numbers you posted, AvantMore, and they do show Audi A6 wagon 2006-2009.

I'm just slightly pissed right now Why the hell is the mfr so unfamiliar with their own products !!??

Thanks for finding this, AvantMore. I cannot understand why THULE USA can't get their sh*t together (I emailed them last week about this specific application and they failed to respond.)

I spoke with THULE USA this morning and the woman confirmed the error in the on-line catalog concerning the '06 wagon. She said they'll fix it "soon".

I'm going to order the 460 Podium Fixpoint kit and the 4001 fit kit for our '06 A6 Avant. I'll be able to use all my old parts and even the 58" when needed.

She mentioned that they will be releasing a new system in January. This may be similar to the parts offered in Europe where there is a slot cut in the base of the load bar to accept a "T" bracket. This is what I was going to order from the UK. FWIW, with shipping factored in , all the parts from the UK, including this updated load carrier bar, would not have been much more expensive than what I'll end up spending here for just the two kits I need. These components are $$$ in the USA.

I'm wondering if Thule Europe and Thule USA are separate companies? None of the part numbers align and the systems sold in Europe/UK are a different design.
