A6 Gateway Module Install? Programming? Help please!
My MMI failed for the second time in 2 years. The MMI board itself is actually fine, it's the module behind the glove box that's actually failed. I've copied a pic for reference (it's part #1). The install process of the unit looks fairly easy, but my shop was wondering if there was any coding beyond the install? They inquired about a Workshop Code - what is that exactly? I'm simply in need of details of what needs to be done with VAGCom to complete the entire install process?

That's insane for labor. From what I know, it's a 1 hour install job - you just drop the glove box (there are 4 bolts that hold it) and everything is accessible to you immediately. Remove the old module, and install the new one.
The coding doesn't take longer than 30 minutes, as far as I know.
