yes,
i was told all A6 have the connector, but if you want specific cable you have to buy it. There is a variety of of cables from ipod, mini USB, 3.5mm jack...etc. Btw they are $60 at the dealer

I think there is some confusion goong on here. For BT HandsFree just put the key into ignition, wait a minute, search for BT device (on your phone), Audi HandsFree will show up (on your phone), pair it, enter 1234 code (default) and voila, you have successfully set up your HandsFree BT phone.

If you don't have it, the best way (since Audi Wants $1200 for the kit that's a $200 add-on when buying the car), is a Dennison 500, which can be installed behind the CD unit int he glovebox, price is basically the model number... $500... =-) Works well, and the devices will show up like another CD in the changer (IE: Disc 7 is an Ipod, etc).

Both options are worthless for me, since i have portable XM radio. I was told by the dealer parts guy if you have a AMI in the car it should work and only thing i need is that little cable. Than again, dealers knowledge is pretty bad and they have been wrong on many occasions.

bluetooth
told you so ;o). Turn the bluetooth on the phone, insert the key in the ignition (i think you got like 2min after key is in), press on the phone search for new devices and connect. Code is set 1234, factory setting. Than you can select option that every time you enter car phone will connect automatically. On the MMI you will see bluetooth icon and signal (so you know if you have a coverage).

I bought this Bovee WMA3000A bluetooth adapter from viseeousa for my 2008 audi a6, this comes with AMI cable and fits to iPod ready car. I can connect my Android phone via bluetooth easily and can stream music wirelessly and control the steering wheel and even do call switching between music and my cars Bluetooth Phone, etc... I find this cheaper than buying an iPod or any other cable because this device supports both iPhone and Android.
