I would get that looked are real quick. I don't know if you remember the big Audi sticking gas petal from about 25 years ago or not, but the brand really took a dump because of that. I am sure the dealer will be real concerned and try to find the issue.

Happened to me because of non-compatible all weather floor mats I purchased locally. They did not fit. The underside of the pedal was hooking onto the edge of the floor mat and the pedal was not getting released. Pretty scary!!! Did you place a wrong floor mat?

I agree, probably the first thing to do is get your head down in the footwell and have a look for anything physically interfacing with the pedal or its pivot mechanism and if it’s not something obvious like that then take it very carefully to a professional shop to get fixed. An unsafe fault like that is not one to take chances with.

As a side note, all versions of the C6 came with electronic throttle control. Should the accelerator become stuck again, simply press the brake pedal. The engine control computer will receive a signal from the brake pedal switch, and will automatically cut throttle to the engine. This is a safety feature, should the accelerator pedal become physically or electrically "stuck".
