Default "Adaptive Light Defective" message 2005 4.2

Hey fellas. have a 2005 a6 4.2. Just bought it about 3k miles ago. The Odometer JUST clicked 40,000 miles. I got this message the other day as i was driving. I know what adaprtive lighting is and the lights still work so im assuming its just the motor or sensor that turns the headlight but has anyone had any experience with this error?

What kinds of possible malfunctions am i looking at and costs?

Cheers!

Its a known problem Audi has a TSB on the fix. Drop me a PM with your e-mail address, referncing the adaptove headlight problem, and I will send you the TSB.

I get a discount on EVERYTHING. Work, Parts, Warrantys, new cars, used cars...

My GF works as a manager for a motorgroup that owns a bunch of different brands. She gets a discount on everything.

Default Adaptive Light Defective

If I just got this warning for a 2007 audi, and I have never seen it before is it a must fix or can I fix this problem myself?
