Default All season tire

I am looking for all season tire of 245/40/18 for my 2008 A6 4.2, I am sensitive to the road noise caused by tire, so I need a quiet tire. I was quoted with Hankook Ventus K110, is that an all-season tire?

While the Hankook Ventus V12 is an awesome tire for the price, it is classified as a summer tire. It definitely is not the quietest tire out there either, so you may want to look at other alternatives.

I run dedicated summers and winters, so I have no experience at all with all-seasons. Maybe someone else on this board can help you.

If you have to go with an all season, go with the Conti ExtremeContact DWS. These are not XL though.

I have the conti dws on my s5. They are junk. The worst tire I have ever owned. Very loud soft sidewalls feels like you are driving on marshmellows. Go with pilot sport all season.

I guess it depends on the type of driving you do. I recently replaced my fronts with the Conti DWS and I'm happy with them. I drive spirited, but no so much in the turns anymore since I'm carrying the kids. Go to Tirerack.com and check out the reviews.

I have the conti dws on my 08 s line and they do make some noise but they grip quite well. I will go with the dw next because they are higher performance than the dws.
