Because the OEM mats do not have vertical sidewalls that cover the transmission tunnel and kick panels. Here in the snowy Northeast, where they love to salt the roads, better coverage means less carpet to clean in the spring time when swtching back to the carpeted mats.

I have a 2002 Audi A6 3.0 Quattro with beige leather interior and I am looking for a set of beige rubber floor mats to match.
