So, the big question is: is AMI (MOST type) compatible with every MMI 2G High? Because I called an Audi dealer and he said it won't fit according to my VIN. Then I called another aftermarket retrofitter and he said the same. But then, the aftermarket retrofitter is fitting front parking sensors to my A6 next Thursday, which the Audi dealer claimed to be impossible to do. So I'm not sure who's right and who's wrong here. From what I read everywhere AMI should fit into my system, which I believe to be MMI 2G High (full color display, CD changer in glovebox, navi drive in boot).

My only option now is getting a second-hand AMI, and I'd hate to have to return it if it isn't in fact compatible for some reason.
